Component Mass Balance - Component Balance Flags
Control the participation of a balance point in the component mass balance with these Attributes within balance point elements.
- ComponentBalanceFlag: A value of TRUE for the ComponentBalanceFlag marks the Element as participating in the component balance.
- ConstrainedComponentBalanceFlag: A value of TRUE for the ConstrinedComponentBalanceFlag enforces the component constraint equation in the component balance.
- BalancedComponentArray: For the linear balance option, it is possible to specify which components will be balanced in certain balance points. This string specifies these components using the following format:
- "\<component >,\<component 2>…”: There should be no spaces between the listed components. Example: Fe,Cu,Mn. If not specified, all components are balanced in that balance point.
- PerfectMixFlag: This flag causes the solver to assume that the final concentration of a tank is the same as the output flow of the tank. Both the tank and the output flow must have these Attributes set to TRUE to activate this option. Only the linear method implements this functionality.
The balance points controlled by these flags are nodes, process units, and inventory (tank) elements.
